Ferme Boisvert

The FSMB herd was established in 1983 when Marc purchased his first Simmental heifer from a neighbour in the Eastern Township region. Instantly, Marc caught the breeding bug. Nearly 30 years later, he is still driven by the same passion.

The Boisvert herd now counts close to 25 cows, mostly Simmental Fleckvieh, and a few red females. The breeding objectives are to produce functional animals that meet the needs of the industry. Always on the lookout for quality animals, we work with A.I. sires and we fully exploit our best cow families through embryo transfer. The herd bull was also purchased for his genetic potential and quality.

Over the years, we have developed a good contact network with the best breeders in Canada through our presence at some specialized auctions and on farms.
Marc also acts as a genetics advisor. Do not hesitate to contact him if you are looking for animals.
